I called a dealer and was told it would cost $600 to fix. entire light assembly has to be replaced, light bulb individually does not exist. I told them that is ridiculous and was not going to buy another Cadillac.

I then called Cadillac complaint Department and was told there was nothing they could do, that was what it cost to repair. I then emailed the CEO of General motors and have not gotten a response as I figured.

I have posted the issue on Facebook and am telling everyone not to buy GM products.

Update from Jun 12, 2017: I received a response from a Mr. Mason from GM about my brake light issue on June 7th 2017, He was asked by CEO I Contacted to contact me. He contacted the dealer to work on my complaint of cost ($600). After checking with dealer he contacted me on June 9th, 2017 and said their was nothing he could do it was the cost I would have to pay. I responded that I was passing the word of Cadillac lack of concern for the customers with these ridicules part charges and warranties don't help on these issues. I believe several other car manufactures have much better customer satisfaction and repair backing.

I will contact the CEO again and let her know I was not happy with my Cadillac issue experience.

I suggest everyone out there do the same.

Left brake light went out in 2014. Replaced under warranty. Dealer said complete board was defective, and would have cost $700 if not under warranty. Went out again in 2017. Back to dealer to replace again (under extended warranty) This time, dash flashes, & cruise control disengages.

I bought this car so I would have a dependable, nice car. It's embarrassing when other drivers keep honking at me, telling me my brake light is out. I could have bought a MUCH cheaper car and not had this problem. To add to the irritation, the automatic glove box has been replaced 3 times, the Cadillac Cue software recalled and reprogramed, the dash replaced because it rippled, and the Cadillac Cue unit replaced - went out completely, and a 2nd recall for something else (can't remember). Always garaged, kept clean and maintained by dealer.

Update from Apr 5, 2017: Although brake light was replaced under the full warranty, GM refused to cover under the extended warranty when it went out only 2 years later again. This time, charge to replace $600+. This is NOT a bulb, but a whole assembly, and GM calls it a bulb, rather than being covered under electrical. What a scam. So when the dealer tells you when buying the car that these LED's never go out, don't believe it, and if they do, plan on at least a $600 repair bill! Oh, and that extended warranty that GM advertises you should buy ($3000+) to keep from having large repair bills? Don't believe that either! Car is only 4 years old, replaced TWICE at $600 each time! This part should be recalled and owners who had to replace be refunded. Called GM new CUSTOMER CARE, no satisfaction there either. Don't bail out GM with my tax dollars again!

Update from Apr 5, 2017: and I'm NOT in the UK as stated below. I'm in the good ol USA,- Ohio
