The contact owns a 2017 Cadillac XT5. The contact stated that the headlights (intelebeams) were designed to automatically illuminate when approaching a vehicle. The lights were supposed to deactivate when approaching an oncoming vehicle on the other side of the road. The contact stated that the intelebeams were not operating consistently. The lights turned off and on without any effort from the contact. The failure caused the vehicle not to start sometimes due to a drained battery. The intelebeams were supposed to be able to be manually turned on and off, but they would not shut off on a consistent basis. The contact was concerned of a possible crash or road rage incident if the failure was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to american Chevrolet Cadillac muncie (6580 w hometown blvd, muncie, in 47304, (765) 212-3294) and the contact was provided a loaner vehicle, but the failure recurred. The dealer was instructed by the manufacturer not to repair the vehicle anymore. The contact was in the middle of a lemon law lawsuit. The failure mileage was 2,000.
