If you never had an SRX, you may think much of this is petty. Understand all of these amenities were removed, but the price remained the same.
As a prior owner of a 2010, 2012 and 2016 SRX, I couldn't be more disappointed with this poor excuse for a Cadillac. Many of the amenities have been removed from the incredibly convenient enclosed compartments in the dash (to a felt lined plastic box), the cheap center console that replaced the two level compartment, the missing storage container on the rear of the center console, the missing storage compartment in the rear seat armrest, the cardboard lid in the cargo compartment that is velcroed down and held open by a plastic hook on a string that replaced the well-built hinged compartment, and the two outboard storage cubby’s are chunks of foam now. The cooler port in the glove compartment no longer exists, a convenience for carrying a wine bottle.
The design of the center console is such that anything placed in it ends up under your feet after a right turn.
I’ve received “headlight fluid†excuses for the auto-stop not working after a month, the seat ventilation working for two months, then one week after it was “fixedâ€, a warning to “Take Over Steering†every once in a while, the wipers running for no reason each time the car is underway and the horrible performance of the Android Auto, specifically when voice texting. If I wasn’t dumping this less than a Chevy pile of metal, I would have set up a video camera to record what I go through to get a text sent. It’s comic.
I could go on but I’m over this car and Cadillac. This poor excuse for a luxury crossover is my LAST CADILLAC.
