The traction control light come on for a second while traveling at 90k/hr or higher. The rear brake activates on the right side of the car making it feel as though you are about to fish tail. My mechanic suspects it is the wheel bearing that is about to fail causing one wheels speed to differ from the other which initiates the traction control.
I haven't replaced the bearings yet as they haven't failed yet so it's a real pain! It doesn't happen when I drive around town which is what I do most of the time. It's just when I travel on the highway. GM should definitely make this a recall issue. Stabilitrak is supposed to be a safety mechanism not something that could possibly kill you!
