The contact owns a 2001 Cadillac Seville. The contact stated that the driver and passenger side seat belts do not release; therefore, they were unable to be used. He feels that this is a manufacturer's defect. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they were able to release the belts. They further stated that nothing was wrong with the retractor. The failure mileage was 56,000 and current mileage is 57,000. Updated 07/15/08 updated 07/15/08.
