I have a 2008 Cadillac Sts and I cant read the dash instruments in the daylight, the dealer says there is nothing they can do about it. I just leased an hrr Chevy and it is the same way, I have owned lots of cars in my time and never had a problem like this. Seam like this would be a safety problem.
