I finally had the Cadillac Dealership in Shreveport, LA to take a look at my dim headlights while getting my oil changed. I figured it was something simple they could do to fix how bad the lighting was when they were on dim. The assistant manager of the service department told me they checked out my problem and both my headlights needed replacing and it would cost approx $2000!! I was floored. Cadillac is suppose to be a top of the line vehicle....I thought. I drive a lot of miles every week going back and forth from Tulsa, OK to Louisiana and I need my lights to work properly. Today I thought I would do a google search on this problem to see if anyone else has had the same issue. Wow! There are really a lot of complaints about this same problem and from what I see, Cadillac/GM is not willing to correct it. What a rip off. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac/GM vehicle. I have had nothing but problems with this car since I purchased it. I guess when someone gets killed from their headlights going completely off while driving in the dark, Cadillac/GM will fix the problem. You would think that when you pay this much for a vehicle, they would know how to build them correctly or stop building that way when they clearly see there is a problem.
