The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and making turns the wheels were pulling and not feeling normal. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V473000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called the local dealer who stated that the parts were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered a loaner vehicle or a credit towards another vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. The VIN was incomplete.

This is a death waiting to happen and GM is barely going through the motions to make sure they are not ignoring it but blowing it off in many ways suppressing it in many ways. The other problems with the wheel bearings and suspension are scary when you hear the noises and I think more scary when you ask for an estimate which I will put off deciding to take a chance with an area of the car that can truly cause death if the past means anything. I am going to mention the problem with the defective que system that they are clearly trying to deny but did pay 90% of my $1000 repair without taking blame and of course this is not a real safety concern but worth describing because it shows a clear pattern of suppression and avoidance to recall a clearly defective part of a vehicle. On May 12, 2018, we were driving West on Maryland interstate 68 through the mountains. We were driving downward on one of the many mountains and I noticed a wobble coming from the front passenger wheel. I began to worry and slowed down from 70 mph to 50 mph. As I approached the bottom of the mountain there was a curve to the left. All of the sudden we lost control like we were on ice. We turned 360 degrees and slammed into the right berm guard rail and then proceeded to travel back across the two land highway and hit the left median guardrail and came to a stop. There were three of us in the car and fortunately only minor injuries. We observed that the axle at the front passenger side wheel had sheered off. I couldn't believe it! also. The side air bags did not deploy when the passenger side slammed into the guard rail.
