Purchased a 2014 SRX with 17,000 miles in 11/2016. By June of 2017 I began having issues with the transmission jumping hard into gears while I was driving. Took the car into the dealership from June of 2017 to February of 2020 a total of 6 times for the same complaint and according to them there was nothing wrong with the car. In August 2019 they noticed a little something according to my complaint with the transmission and they decided to perform a transmission overhaul. I picked up the car 2 weeks later and was back at the dealership in January 2020 with the same complaint, again they found nothing.
In February 2020 I was driving with my daughter in the car and when I went to stop, the transmission hard shifted and almost caused an accident with the car in front of me. I immediately drove to the dealership and requested a manager to come out and drive the car with me. This time they claimed the car had transmission failure and wanted to charge me 2,000 to fix it after they claimed they did an overhaul. I filed a complaint with GM and was told that they could not honor my warranty that had expired at the end of January, and that I had to pay for the repairs even though they had just done an overhaul. They offered me a voucher to trade the car in and purchase another one, what a joke. I was doing research on this matter and found that GM had recalled all of their 2013 Cadillac SRX for transmission issues. Also found that these Cadillacs have had transmission issues as far back as 2004 and all were recalls.
