It was later afternoon, I was purposely driving carefully because the lot was crowded. I saw a spot away from most of the cars and pulled in. I was braking to pull into the space, my foot was still on the brake and I was about 3 feet from the two vehicles on the other side of my parking space. The pedal took off like a bat out of Hades. I had my foot on the brake the whole time, pumping it to see if it would stop, no stopping, and I ran into the two vehicles. One was a 2013 SUV and the other a van. I didn't do took much damage to the older van because it was older and heavier, I believe but the 2013 SUV received some face time.

My air bag didn't come out, I have had a stiff neck for about 8 weeks. I told the mechanics at Lockhart Cadillac that my pedal took off and the way the engine was ranting and raving, it was at the top of it's output of power. I was finally able to get it in gear, it made a noise when I put it in park and I turned the engine off. I did read several of the complaints and I had forgotten that there was a smell after I rolled my windows down. I got out because I figured it would catch on fire any minute, and I smelled the smell coming from my SRX, I mentioned to the van person that I hope my engine was all right as it went thru Hades and back with it's ranting.

If I had been out on the highway, I would have had a much different accident, I believe. I would have kept going and really ran into some vehicles and I don't think I would have been in one piece. It's scary to think it could do it again. I love this little SRX, we have a 2000 Cadillac Eldorado and love it, however, I'm uneasy about the one I'm driving. Well, my husband won't allow me to drive at the moment, he said he can control the SRX. I know there was something wrong with my SRX. The pedal would never take off and run into other vehicles or anything if it had the correct wiring, etc., in it.

My husband said that no one believes me. I told him that's okay, I was there and I know what happened, and I'll say it till the day I die, it HAPPENED..
