The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with an auto start ignition. The contact was concerned because when the engine was running, the contact could exit the vehicle without a chime sounding to alert that the engine was still operating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the vehicle was operating as designed. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.
