The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the hood inadvertently flew open while driving. The contact drove safely off the highway and securely latched the hood. The contact stated while driving the vehicle to the residence, the hood flew open again. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 118,300.
