When I bought this car I had no idea there was no spare tire. Didn't look, didn't even consider it. Having noticed it and done some research, I understand the compressor and goop that was furnished would not fix most of the flats I have had in the past. So we will be stranded on the road at the mercy of whatever evil might befall.

I decided to retrofit with the donut kit until finding out the cost, and then more recently it seems they are not available at any price. The same now seems to hold true for the special wheel. It cannot be purchased. Last night a used wheel sold online for $350.00. No jack or anything.

Over and over I have found the wheel 18" x 4.5" was for sale but now it is "not available". Is there a conspiracy to eliminate these spares from the market. The tire part is easy to get still, but not the wheel.

Bottom line, we are scared to take this car out on a long trip. Sadly it is only good to be a "grocery getter".

Had 2 flat tires had to be towed twice. Both in unsafe areas, one between Yuma and El Centro where a border patrol was nice enough to stay with my wife and daughter until the tow truck came. He told her it was an unsafe area on interstate 8. The other we had to be towed 120+ miles into Tucson and you cannot buy a tire on Sunday. All tire shops we called said it was a special order tire only. Had to spend the night. GMC told us the car didn't have a spare but they also told us the sealer worked, it doesn't. It cost us $1000.00+ for towing, hotel, food, and taxi and that doesn't include the 3+ hours to be towed into Tucson. Cadillac had us call GMC they won't help at all. This is a unsafe car unless you stay in the city do not travel!!
