Estimated overall cost 8600.00. GM has agreed to pay 60% which I am thankful however valve failure on a 40k plus luxury vehicle 5 years old with 54000 miles on it is ridiculous. The vehicle was just 6 months out of powertrain warranty on time, but not on mileage obviously. I heard a loud pop while driving on a highway and the car shut down. It blew two holes in engine. Have all required maintenance records. Do not drive a Cadillac without a warranty or extended warranty. Dealer has been less than helpful and initially refused to even give me a loaner car prior to even seeing a work order or having time to investigate the list but GM has been somewhat helpful.
