This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have a bind or shudder on turns during tight parking lot maneuvers. If technician is working on a 2012 Lacrosse the Electronic Brake Control Module should be updated with the latest calibrations in Service Programming System. If the technician isolates the condition to be coming from the Rear Drive Module, then check the fluid level in the Rear Drive Module per Service Information. If fluid levels are incorrect then diagnose and repair as needed, review latest version of PI0703 if the differential clutch is overfull. If no fluid concerns are found change the differential clutch oil filter and oil. Technician should insure all oil and debris is removed from the differential.
