My user name says all about GM and Cadillac. I would not even drive another if someone gave me a GM for free; they just suck your bank account dry trying to keep them safe and running. I already got rid of my Tahoe and have this Cadillac parked as can not currently afford repairs and also understand I will end up dumping EVEN MORE money into it afterwards to keep road worthy. PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A HUGE FAVOUR AND NEVER EVER BUY ANY GM PRODUCT, UNLESS YOU ENJOY GETTING GOUGED AND DRIVING AN UNSAFE, UNRELIABLE PIECE OF SCRAP METAL. German and Japanese engineering is where it's at!!!!

My Cadillac has been, on the monthly, causing huge expenditures to keep on the road - nice 'family' vehicle!

I have not provided my VIN on this site, as GM will find any excuse, anyways, to avoid any responsibility for their worthless products (and still manage to go bankrupt and in need of a bailout despite defrauding so many people). The latest issue with this polished up turd, is the engine; I have maintained it and even had a tune up done including having lifters cleaned with a spark plug change. The engine light is on, again, as is the reduced engine power message from time to time. With the misfiring now and sounding like a diesel motor when decelerating, I already know this is the cause of another cheap part that GM uses, the timing chain - I refuse to dump thousands more into this lowly American pile of trash engineering.

I will be all over the web, advising people to stay away from GM products and I hope GM sustains much larger loses from my speech than I have by purchasing their junk autos. Never again will I drive GM and I will take great pride laughing in people's faces who are actually dumb enough to purchase GM.

Other issues with vehicle: Stabilitrak failing Computer reprogramming needed Moonroof jams AWD more like RWD Poor gas mileage Poor performance Auto Liftgate does not work most of time Transmission sucks: Hard shifting Suspension made of plastic also? Electrical problems in colder weather Power steering

I rate this pile of junk as lesser than a go-cart or a rusty Chrysler!!!!!!!

engine light came on. had to replace the timing chain and adjust the cam shaft tensioners (I think that was the name for them). this is a very very common problem with this engine and has left many many owners upset. Many of the owners have had repeated timing chain fixes. The smart ones just go buy a different vehicle. Really really poor design and terrible support from GM and Cadillac.

This Cadillac SRX 2007 has been nothing but a headache. A full engine replacement was needed at 60k. Stabilitrak system seizing up on turns and then stalling, brake control module replaced. Now "Engine Power Reduced" light is on. Reduced engine power first happened when merging onto a highway! These types of problems are not minor and are considerable safety issues never mind extremely costly. This is not a sports car but its supposed to be family vehicle reliability and safety are expectations - that is not the Cadillac SRX.

Dealership wasn't sure why the check engine light stayed on and why the car ran sluggish. After many dignostic tests they decided to replace not one but 3 timing chains! Now we all no there is NO WAY in this cars lifetime one timing chain should be replaced but 3. Still I am told this is what the manufacture told them to do to take care of the problem. The chains were on back order for a week or two. They had the car almost a month. When they realized that the car was almost there for a month.. The next day the new timing chains were on the car and it Was ready for pickup!!! The next morning I was leaving for vacation, not sure what to expect I rented a van to take my family on vacation!!

This vehicle was rated #1 for three years in a row! I didn't drive the vehicle for 10 days since I was on vacation it set in the garage! But when I got home I drove the car. It sounded like I was driving a semi!!!!!!
