2005 Cadillac Srx. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle jerking, bucking and stalling while driving. The consumer stated he discovered the problem was with the brakes. Apparently, the vehicle has five different systems that can work the brakes automatically, and it seemed one of them was working harder than normal. The consumer stated he was always taught to press on the brake pedal three or four times when making a full stop, so the brakes would not heat up or wear out prematurely. However, he believed the vehicle was interpreting his way as a panic stop. When he applied the brake only once, without letting off the brake all the way to a full stop, there was no bucking. The consumer believed the panic brake assist system, was only one of the five brake assist systems that he believed could stop the vehicle immediately, as it did the previous week.
