I was driving and the vehicle just cut off on me every thing locked up even the brakes I couldn't stop so I chunked the gear in park to avoid from smashing into anyone I was so afraid but it crank right up after but I noticed the temperature gauge and the gas gauge was no longer working..

Ahad it placed on a code reader, P2122, accelerator position sensor circuit D low.replaced pedal, still the same thing.
So many rusted frame complaints should have warranted a recall. In my case a frame should not have rusted badly in less than a year. Many even show on you -tube trying to fix rusted frames because no one is listening. Underbody coating actually should have been added. Thin sheet metal sections are the worst parts.

I was driving my vehicle once again, and the engine reduced power came up on the screen. This happened once on the freeway driving 70 miles per, the vehicle's speed went down all the way to 20 miles per hour, I had to pull over because it lost power then it shut off. This is very dangerous I could have been seriously hurt or another vehicle could hit me across the freeway. This also happened November 3, 2017, as I was rolling out of the driveway the vehicle cut off in motion. Something is wrong with this vehicle losing power without no notification to the driver until it happens. This needs to be recalled for these 2004 Srx Cadillac vehicles. Also the screens constantly says check stability system, or reduced engine power and traction control. Please this has to be a recall before someone gets killed.
Constantly, constant problems. Every time I turn around this car is stalling, the stability control light and traction control and ABS lights come on, slowing acceleration and causing safety issues. There are times when I see the dic message board blinking and the car acts as though it is going to stop. These issues listed on this site from all these people needs to be investigated before someone is hurt or killed. I am now writing to Cadillac because the issues are getting out of control and I am afraid for my and my child's life. I am moving forward to seek out an attorney for a lawsuit this is ridiculous.
The car died on a cvs parking lot in troy, NY, towed back to boston, MA.after putting a new engine in on July,2016, the key couldn't come out, norwood cadilac dealer told us something is drewing the battery, after $920 electrical check, died again the following week while parked on our driveway. Then another$900 they disconnected the radio, dvd, telling us it'll be good for my daughter to drive back to college in NY. Two weeks later, same thing happened again, key won't come out, towed to them, now they told us need a ECM, we questioned them why they don't change that in the first place, they said was the drawing back fed the ECM, cause the failer, so we would have to pay $1050 seprately and unsure how long it's good for.
My car wouldn't start and then the key would get stuck in the ignition and wouldn't turn. The theft security light came on. ECM engine control module was replaced and programmed. $1,000.

I received a recall letter back in September 2014. In October 2014, I called the Cadillac dealer in roseville, mn and I still haven't received a call or anything yet. I am not sure if I should be calling my insurance agent and attorney for assistant on this issue because I drive my kids to daycare every morning! I hope to hear from someone soon.
There is no Cadillac dealer in santa rosa, although there used to be. The nearest one is 50 miles away. I have phoned them re. This recall but they do not return calls to do anything about it. Can I go to any GM dealer to have it done as there is one locally?
I have a problem with the key at first I try to take the key out of the ignition and won't come off and then they stopped working so I get a lock smith and they make me a new key which it cost me $392 im trying to take my car to the dealer and at first they tell me they don't have the part I went this morning because they say the part was there and I try to talk to somebody and no one wanted to help there. 2004 Cadillac Srx. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle brake failure. The consumer stated his wife was driving, when the brakes failed. The dealer was unable to find a problem. The consumer believed the vehicle stalled and lost power steering and brakes.
Re: recall number 14V394. The fix GM is doing is a small plastic piece being glued into the key end. I've had my key stick in the ignition more than once and I wasn't even moving. I found a page in my manual (section 2 page 21) that explains what to do when your key gets stuck in the ignition. This tells me that the problem causing crashes is much more than a small key fix. The ignition needs to be replaced. I reported this to the GM hotline. They made a not of the fact that if anybody gets hurt in my car because of ignition issues, they will hear from my lawyer. They just said "ok, we'll make a note of it".
I purchased a 2004 Srx from coleman Cadillac in ewing, NJ on 11/05/03. My Srx was parked at columbia university when the ignition key got locked in the ignition cylinder. The repair cost at potamkin Cadillac came to a total of $2217.86. I also had to get my keys reprogrammed which totaled $181.35 back at coleman Cadillac in NJ. I recently read that the 2004 Srx ignition was identified as a problem: The delphi (dlph.N) documents, released on Wednesday by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, also may indicate that earlier versions of the Cadillac Srx, from model years 2004-2006, used a switch part from the 2003 ion. One document says the Srx "in the beginning of the program" used switch parts from "delta" vehicles, the code name for the GM small-car family that includes the ion and cobalt. I'm sure you are aware of this issue and am asking that I receive a credit for the expense I incurred for the repair of the ignition cylinder and attendant cost'ECM, reprogramming, etc. The total amount of the credit I am asking is $2399.21. I have written to GM and had numerous discussions with their executive resource center (reference no. 71-1336933693402). An initial offer of $200 was withdrawn after calling to tell me that I would receive a recall notice in the mail. The only recall notice I have received was telling me to have a plug put in my ignition key.
