The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT equipped with Michelin Tires, Tire Line: Energy Saver A/S, Tire Size: P265/65/R18, DOT Number: M3KA. The contact stated the tires contain a tire identification number (TIN) that is missing the 4-digit week and year code mark. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 574, "Tire Identification & Recordkeeping." Missing TIN information can make it difficult for tire owners to determine the age of the tires and/or identify the tire in the event of a recall, increasing the risk of driving with unsafe tires which could result in a crash. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified the missing TIN information. The tires were not replaced purchased at the dealer on April 12, 2019. The tires were replacement tires.
