This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have battery draw complaint. Technician should not replace the Instrument Panel Cluster for this concern. Technician should test the battery on the vehicle before performing any diagnostics. Low voltage can be caused by a number of reasons discharged battery, battery cable connections, infrequent usage, extended storage, short trip driving, extended key on accessory usage with the engine off, charging issues, and aftermarket electrical accessories.
