The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated that the battery would be completely drained without warning. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the motor wiring harness under the passenger seat was completely melted, which caused the failure. As a result, the battery, circuit breaker, and wiring harness needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 47,000.
