2001 Cadillac without warning lost both steering and braking on two occasions. This failure occurred as a result of a malfunctioning crank sensor and resulted in the engine losing power. The consumer has filed three formal complaints about this problem, two with the dealer and one with the manufacturer. The dealer admitted that Cadillac had a known sensor problem from 2000 to 2004.
