2002 Cadillac Deville - throttle stuck full open - traveling at highway speeds in cruise. Touched the brake to allow for traffic. Then touched "resume" on the cruise control; throttle opened fully and stuck there. The only way to stop was to turn off the ignition, which I did. Then had no power steering or power brakes, while still in traffic.

Problems with cruise control and air bag light. The cruise control light on the steering wheel remained lit, often for several days. The air bag light illuminates intermittently but the dealer indicated that nothing could be done unless the light was on when the vehicle was bought to the dealer. The power steering pump has been replaced, the engine block cracked. The driver's seat failed.

While coming to a stop, the cruise control would not disengage. The dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. The cause was not determined.
