We bought a 2001 cadillac deville in sept. 2009. We searched around for a lot of cars to buy when my truck was totaled in an accident. We went and saw the car and it was a great car, in great shape, high mileage but very well taken care of. We were excited to have found a great deal. We are not a wealthy family so we wanted a car that would last and we thought this one would, well about a wk ago the check coolant light came on so I checked the coolant level and added to it. Then the next day my fiance was driving the car and the check coolant light came on again. So again she added to it, then the car went 2 bars above the normal temp. level on the gauge so she parked the car and we had it towed to the shop to get fixed since we purchased a warranty with the car. Once at the shop they found that it was a cracked engine block and was from driving it hot, which is a lie because we didn't drive it hot and if we did the gauge was reading wrong. So the warranty ppl said that it was my fault and they won't cover it. So now I have a beautiful car and no money to replace the engine. My fiance is a full time nursing student to get her RN license and is in her last semester and I am a licensed journeyman plumber working to support her and our two children, the warranty ppl don't care, so I find out that that engine is known to be an overheating engine. So in short I'm screwed with no money to replace or get a new vehicle, so buyers beware
