Head gasket blown for no apparent reason 2nd Cadillac to do this in 1 yr.

Oil leak from oil pan. This car had not leaked oil previous to this incident. While driving I noticed an oil burning smell and smoke coming from the engine compartment. After investigation I learned that 3 quarts of oil had leaked during my drive. I did get this fixed a auto repair facility. I then learned that the fix that GM had come up with was some sort of plate. The repair shop installed same.

They claimed test dro ve the vehicle and couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle. Consumer stated the odometer reading was the same when he dropped the vehicle off and when he picked it up. Consumer recently took the vehicle to another repair center, and they told him that engine mount had to be replaced.

The consumer contacted a dealer for an appointment. The mechanic informed the consumer that the pressure and return line hose needed replacement. The leak was from the power steering pressure hose which had split. The vehicle check engine light illuminated on the dash.
