The contact owns a 2000 Cadillac Deville. While driving approximately 40 mph around a curve, the steering wheel seized without warning. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician stated that the power steering failed and the power steering pump was in good condition. In addition, the ignition switch became loose and had not been repaired. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2000 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would stall without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle was shifted in neutral in order to restart. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
