Never buy a Cadillac with The North Star engine, they all have what is known as a "Porus Blocks" and will overheat time after time, and no one wants to work on them, We had to sell it for scrap, and $300.00, and lost over $6,000 on purchase and repairs (for other problems), no one would touch the North Star Engine, they are among the worst engines that GM ever made, Even GM admitted to me that they knew the engine was problematic, but would do nothing to help us, because of the year of the car. A repair goy I know, when he first saw the car, he warned us that we would have problems with the North Star Engine, and how right he was, it got so bad, you could not drive it anywhere, without it spewing out coolant and overheating, I called over 30 shops, and no one would touch them, at any price!!
