The consumer had three life threatening experiences with the vehicle. Where the vehicle would shut off while driving on the highway, and at stop light(s), and could not re-start the engine. The consumer later advised by the dealer that the crank shaft sensor stopped working and turned off the vehicle while it was in drive with no warning. The consumer feels that this vehicle should be re-called.

The Cadillac Catera will suddenly stall out--there is no warning that it is going to happen. It typically happens when making a turn(right or left). It is potentially life threatening when it occurs. Please do something about this! someone is going to be killed when this occurs. I should also mention there are many other problems with this vehicle but the stalling out of the vehicle is the most serious. I am sick and tired of going to the dealership and them telling me my problem "cannot be duplicated." Obviously, it can't...because you can't predict when it will occur.please contact me for more information about it.

Engine light comes on intermittently. Vehicle taken to dealer 7 times. Oxygen sensor was replaced, but this did not remedy the problem. Dealer then suggested to use only regular fuel, not hi test as recommended for this vehicle.

Engine stalled without warning on four diffrent occasions. Last time I was on a hill and at a light. The light turned green and I went for the accelerator only to find the vehicle rolling backwards. Stopped just short of car behind me. All stalls have been at slow speed or stopped.

While driving about any mph vehicle will stall without a prior warning, and leaving consumer stuck in traffic for a couple minutes. Had taken vehicle to dealer for check up, but could not find any thing wrong.
