This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about the Outside Air Temperature Sensor Operating Characteristics. When the vehicle is parked for more than two hours the Outside Air Temperature sends the current reading. When the vehicle is parked for less than two hours and the temperature is less than the shutdown reading the Outside Air Temperature sends the current reading. When the vehicle is parked for less than two hours and the temperature is more than the shutdown reading the Outside Air Temperature the vehicle will start-up with the shutdown reading.
