bluetooth: calls sound muffled on other end of phone calls

when ever I place a phone call, the person on the other end says they cannot hear me or the sound is muffled. I took car to my local Cadillac dealer and they inspected the Bluetooth and radio system and ruled out it was software related. Updated software for radio amplifier. This issue was covered under the Cadillac warranty.
