03/11/19: Low beam headlights on my Cadillac CTS are much too dim, seemingly no brighter than the the daytime running lights. The manual states that a sensor is supposed to cause the low beam lights to brighten when it becomes dark enough outside, but this does not happen. Took vehicle to local Cadillac dealership, but no help. They replaced the light bulbs, but no help. They told me that this has been a problem with Cadillacs. Duh and Double Duh. I have stopped driving at night because it is too dangerous to be on a highway. Even in my neighborhood, a gated country club community, I must creep along at night in order not to hit neighbors out for a stroll.
Time to trade and buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My daughter has one, and with a world of difference in low beam brightness.
