$68,000 highly sophisticated car, and GM puts this outrageous software that halts the car to 40 mph limp mode when traction control warning light comes on. Did it ever occur to their engineers that someone might be on a high speed freeway( 70 mph) when this occurs? Anyways, I am more interested in solutions than griping.
I tried the old, take the battery cables off, wait 20 minutes, put back on trick. Didn't work. Called the dealer, they told me to wait till the roads aren't slippery anymore. Really? I live in frickin Cleveland, Ohio. Didn't know I bought a car that can't be driven in the rain. Seriously, I swapped out my mounted summer tires with Pirelli snows mounted on different rims. The snows don't have the air pressure sensors in them, but I drove all last winter without this happening. Now both the check engine and traction lights are on. Any ideas?
