This issue happens at random intervals! If you're driving and stop and turn the car off, take your keys out, but the door won't open! It stays locked! You have to crawl over console to the passenger side to get out. The car stays running! You have to go to the drivers side, get the window down and maybe get lucky by working the lock and unlock button back and forth till it releases! Sometimes the door won't close (they bounce off the lock) then you have to repeat the same thing to try and get it to close! Sometimes this issue goes from door to door and most recently the trunk wouldn't open!! I've read car complaints from other owners. Cadillac even issued a corrective action for lock issues, but not a recall!! I called a Cadillac dealership and was informed that it didn't pertain to my vehicle! This issue has occurred multiple times at least 1-3 times a month for the past 3 years!!
