The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Cts. While replacing the tires, the private mechanic stated that the strut tower assembly was not welded down and caused pressure. The contact was concerned that the spring could detach, causing the tire suspension to collapse. The private mechanic stated that the strut tower assembly needed to be replaced or welded back properly. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that when the brake pedal was depressed, the front brake pulsated abnormally. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic for inspection. The front rotors were found to be worn and the rear axle seal was corroded. The front rotors were replaced but the rear axle seal was not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000 and the approximate current mileage was 50,400.
2007 Cadillac Cts with tire problems. Consumer states that the tires wore out at 9,000 miles. Dealer did an alignment then the vehicle experienced a lot of noise. Michelin dealer found that the tires were out of alignment. The consumer stated the vehicle had a different size tire, other than what was specified for the vehicle. According to the door sticker the vehicle should have had 16 inch tires, however the vehicle had 18 inch tires. The mechanic stated the tires were chopped.
