White hazy web like obstruction suddenly appeared on the display of the cue system. It obstructs 35% of the screen and makes it difficult to utilize the back up camera. It was fine one day and then the obstruction appeared the next day. It is garage stored and I have 44,000 original miles.
As I was driving my screen went blank while I was using my navigation system to get around and ended up being lost and had to stop and ask for directions on how to get back home. The cue system went down.
Cadillac que does not work. Changes channels on its on. Touch screen don't work. Can't change channels. Can't use hands free blue tooth. Changes on the dash.
Rear left/rear right axle seals leaking reported to me on 06/01/2020 while 2014 Ats was in for service for tires and coolant leak mileage 71,538. I was advised it's a very slow drip and it doesn't need to be taken care of right away but to keep an eye on it vebally over the phone. I looked back on my service records and the leak was detected on 03/20/2020 by the dealer but R.0 closure date is noted as 03/18/2020 I was not made aware of a critical repair needed on the drive axle (rear differential leak) odometer on 03/18/2020 59,750. The seals should not be breaking at this mileage... this should be covered under warranty. It's a massive issue with the Cadillac Ats. This is going to cost around $1500 to fix now... which is obsurd. This is a safety hazard to drive the car like this as per many online reports that I've read online.
The vehicle shakes while idling, happens all the time. The dealer ship verified that there is engine vibration due to defect in engine motor mounts. Its very scary feeling. Feels like the engine will shut off.
The cue system became unresponsive about 5 months ago and will randomly change my radio stations. Today the film under the touchscreen looks cracked like it is spider webbing. This is the second cue system in my car since I bought it brand new. The first one failed after 2 years and was covered under my warranty. This second one stopped working after two years as well. It is sad that they put a product in a $56,000 car that cannot last longer than 2 years.
My Cadillac Ats cue screen or touch screen has cracked for the second time. GM needs to fix this poor quality glass/adhesive. If the car gets hot or cold the screen can not handle the temp changes. My car was stationary and overnight the cue screen cracked. It is a garbage product.
54,189 miles on car currently. Since June of 2019 my car/engine will completely shut off at a red light, or a coming to a stop sign (basically completely stopped or coming to a stop). Its even shut off while in reverse. When this happens, the gear is still in drive. So I then have to put the car in park, press the brake and start it again. It sputters to start again, but it starts. Its getting more frequent, with it stopping up to 3 times at one stop light, and then having to restart it again. There are no codes on the dash. Ive brought my car into crest Cadillac multiple times to try and diagnose this issue. They cannot find the root cause, and it still happening most recently today! there is a new battery, alternator testing in good condition. They have tested the battery cables/lines. This is incredibly frustrating. My car has stopped on me when trying to accelerate and turn into a lane and I was almost hit bc my engine completely shut off. I also called GM and was told without a diagnosis they cant help. Ive spent so much money on diagnostic tests with no answers. I need help please
2014 Cadillac Ats that has a constant shudder or viberation at all speeds. I took it to everette GMC in hickory, about 5 or 6 months ago. They acknowledged the problem but are unable to fix. I balanced and rotated tires to no avail. Very frustrating. I understand other GMC owners have this same problem.
The cue infortainment system is faulty. Besides controlling the radio functions, it controls the bluetooth and ac settings. The screen freezes all the time and bluetooth is dropping or pausing the calls creating safety hazards while driving. In Georgia is illegal to touch your phone while driving but because this fault in the cue screen a Cadillac owner has to touch the phone to unblock or unmute the call. It is a very known defect on multiple Cadillac vehicles, Cadillac is aware of it but refuses to do anything to fix
Transmission shift cable - transmission gear selection does not match the indicated gear causing the vehicle to move in an unintended or unexpected direction. I was backing up and went to put the gear in drive and I pressed the gas but the car went backwards. I hit the brake and attempted to move the gear handle and it shifted forward very loosely. Although it displayed drive on the gearbox, when I pressed the gas the car would still go in reverse. Capital Cadillac in smyrna, ga later confirmed that the shift cable needed to be replaced but never mentioned this recall "General Motors (GM) is recalling approximately 90,750 model year 2013-2014 Cadillac Ats, and 2014 Cadillac cts vehicles. The transmission shift cable on the affected Ats and cts vehicles may detach from either the bracket on the transmission shifter or the bracket on the transmission. In fact, I was told by the service advisor at capital Cadillac that the part is on back order and that he didn't know when it would come in.
While driving 70 mph on an interstate; drove into rough median going at a downhill angle. Hit two culverts (made of steel and concrete), one of which sent the car airborne. The car landed into oncoming interstate traffic and did a 180 turn before coming to a rest. The strut came up through the hood of the car, and the front end of the car was torn up very badly, as was the rear bumper. The front two tires were pointing in different directions. The car was later declared a total loss. The airbags did not deploy, nor did the onstar service respond (paid monthly fees for over 4 years).
On may/13/2014, at 10 am I had to travel less than 2 miles from my own house to my podiatric doctor, the car was stationary till the end of my appointment about 30 minutes. Upon going back to my house I notice some like scratches on the dashboard screen that house all controls, such to platy a radio station etc. The are on the right side of such screen about 2 inches wide and all the way to the top. On may/16/2016 I called baker Cadillac of charleston SC, explain what it had happen, were told to bring the car so they could look at it, some we did on may/24/2016, were told that will need to order the part and will let me know when they had it, I had to insist for the person to write an order, some he did but not vey happy. While we were waiting for the form to be ready another employee told us that if we see a red light not to drive and that had happen on other vehicles and they are several pieces of plastic on that configuration, upon returning home a long about 1.1/4 inch red light appeared on the left side of such screen, as today may/28/2016 the vehicle is not been out of my garage and it will be there till the time to take to dealer to be repaired. On may/26/2016 we got a phone call from the dealer baker Cadillac to let us know that the part was available and were given an appointment for June/01/2016 at 11 am and will take 1 to 1.1/2 hour to be replaced. I was big surprise that the part got there 2 days latter, I took a picture but is not very clear, upon being at the dealer I will try to obtain a picture there and if possible once is removed from my vehicle and if possible to see if they could give it to me. I think that this problem should be investigate..
