This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have unwanted rear park assist alerts, and or unwanted brake apply while backing up. Dealer should advise owners of a vehicle built with the Driver Assist option listed above that the rear bumper sensors need to be clean and free of mud, snow, and ice to work properly.
