This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that the battery cover latch may have become separated from the cover plate allowing the cover to fit loosely on the trunk rear compartment side trim. Technician will replace the battery cover with the updated part number through General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales.
