After completing repairs 3 months earlier on vehicle and issue (see other conplaints) drove the car fine with no issues for 3 months. All of a sudden, more battery issues.... on a 3 month old alternator and battery. Had to continuously jump the car just to get to and from work. Finally set an appointment to be told there are no issues with the vehicle. After a week, issue seemed to magically resolve itself after shutting my car down on hills, backroads, or anyplace I'd come to a stop. Around 12/17/22, problem magically vanished and the car did not need a jump, or pull a code for another 3 months. Wasn't sure what to do at this point, how are people testing these and not finding problems when the car shuts off in the middle of public roads and highways. Whatever it was working and I was grateful.... until.... cue to now, another 3 months later, with the same problems (see complaints).

This was the worst problem Buick could have ever made with their cars. It needs to be addressed and fixed. Going through a light and the car stops. The car stops and dies, in the middle of the road. Luckily there were kind people who helped me jump the vehicle and move it somewhere safe. At this point Buick should be grateful there hasn't been deaths reported (at least on this page) because this is a significant problem. BUICK YOUR CARS ARE SHUTTING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF ROADS. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS. I'm tired of replacing battery's, alternators, and jumping my car to have my vehicle die in the middle of a road. I travel with my kids in this car. I bought this as a transport vehicle for more than just me. It is life's in danger at this point. Now onto the story:

After 2 times of this issues, one being replaced, the other magical resolving, 3 months later, the same issue except this time, it became a safety hazard.

Car started having the same problems and needing a jump every time. This continued for about 5 days before it died completely. Something is draining the electrical components on this vehicle. Address it Buick. Started using the alternative vehicle we have until we can get the vehicle fixed because of the huge safety problems on the vehicle.

The vehicle would start and then die if the gas pedal was not being pushed(alternator charging battery). When I would pull out of a parking space, the vehicle would die on the turn, stopping turns from happening (power steering is electrical so when the battery goes, your steering goes). Almost hit parked cars, building, street signs, because the car would just stop working while being driven. As long as your foot is on the pedal at at least 2000 rpms, you are fine, anything below that, you'll hit something, or worse, die. Almost hit the building I work at because car stopped turning and went directly towards the building. Driving home if at a stoplight would have to put the car in park and sit with foot on pedal to keep it from dying. All it takes it the two seconds of switching from parked to drive and the one second of not having your foot on the gas, for the car to die right in the middle of a 45 mph intersection. A few great people helped me get out of what could have been a bad situation with semis, trucks, and large work vehicles.

Now it's parked, key still in the keyblock (if it dies with your key in it completely it won't release your key no matter how many times you wiggle the steering wheel because without power it just locks up. Car will be towed to service center where this time they can't deny problems with the vehicle. This is 29,000 miles. 29,000 miles on a one owner car. Now I see why they got rid of it.

Once problem is determined again, an updated or new complaint will be posted regarding costs and determined issues. Maybe since Buick doesn't want to address the issues, what I've gone through will help to prevent any future accidents, fires, or in the worst case possible, deaths.

Electrical system has shut off 3 times in 2 months. All the lights out, the screen goes blank, the power steering goes out, and everything restarts on its own in a few seconds. After the dash panel goes blank, a symbol of a lightning bolt with a wrench below it will flash, then the electronics come back on. Since the first time this happen, the 'lane detection' setting works intermittently. Dealership has had my car for a week and can't find the problem.
