The gas mileage I get with this vehicle is awful. The sticker states 25 combined, 21 city, 32 highway. Well, on the highway I have gotten 20.3 mpg. Really, in a 4 cyI. car? I have never gotten 25 mpg on highway only or combined. When I bought this I traded a Nissan Altima and was told I would get better mileage than I did with the Altima. Not true at all. I may have lowered my payment but I am spending three times as much in gas. I have taken it in several times. They keep it and drive it for a week and then tell me they got 33 mpg. HAHAHAHAHA! So not true.

This was my first Buick and it is the last. I will never buy another Buick or GM product. I should have know better. Every GM product I have ever owned (and I have had many) has been nothing but a problem and I ended up getting rid of it.

This vehicle is rated to get 21 city, 32 highway, and a combined 25mpg on regular 87 octane fuel. I traded in my suv for this supposedly much more economical vehicle, only to be getting 19.3mpg average with mostly highway driving! My fuel pump failed three days after purchasing it brand new so that may have something to do with it, but, it has been to the dealership several times for the same issues, and they can't deem it to be a problem stating the following as a reason: GM doesn't recognize the gas mileage to be an actual problem mechanically with the vehicle, unless the shop foreman gets under 20mpg on a test drive as well. He stated after resetting the gas mileage computer they took the vehicle on a highway run and got exactly 20.7mpg... -_- Therefore because it is in fact over 20mpg GM deems this normal and doesn't recognize it as a problem.. So basically what GM is stating is: we know your vehicle has a problem but we don't want to rectify the problem so we are going to go ahead and overlook the issue, and deem this normal on your vehicle because when your brand new 4 cylinder is getting worse gas mileage than the suv you traded in for our vehicle in an attempt to save on gas you are not going to. I can't blame the verano itself, because everyone I know who has one gets at least 25 average... Which makes it quite clear to me my car has a problem. I contacted buick about this directly, and all they had to offer me was complimentary maintainence plan for 10k miles, so basically going by GM's oil change monitor 1 free oil change.. oh boy! So in the meantime I'm paying through the nose for gas and getting 225 miles to a full tank... Good job GM, can't wait to go back to ford, and drive my suv that got 28mpg highway and 24 city!
