A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
I got this new car with 24,000 miles on it at the end of November 2014. I read over the car fax, with only one previous owner and no accidents or repairs. I felt fairly confident that I knew the car I was getting. I was soo wrong.
Not even two weeks later I had to bring it back into the shop first for the blower to my heat because it sounded like it was going to explode. Well, that started my journey of now having the car 2 1/2 months and having taken it into the shop roughly 8 times for various reasons. This last time I brought it in because when I would stop the car it was making a popping noise from underneath . They just assumed the noise was from my gas tank so once again drop it off, wait and pick it back up "on E not to mention" only to find out that the noise is still happening. So we do this all over again, bring it back in, now they say it's exhaust and that needs to be replaced. But one of the parts needed is on back order so we wait a week for them to call. I drop it off and come back to get it, they tell me "the manager drove your car home, parked it in his garage and said the noise is no longer happening". I come back to pick up and find out, hmmmm, the noise is STILL THERE.
This is on a Friday so Saturday I wait to make sure it's making the noise and it does so I record it. I call the dealership on Monday and the manager says to bring it in and he will test drive it with me. Because apparently he has NEVER heard the noise and doesn't even know what I am talking about, he just heard what the techs have told him.....which makes zero sense to me because if he drove it home and knew the noise wasn't there but never heard the noise????,,,,,,BULL!!!!!!!! He proceeds to tell me that it's the metal underneath the car contracting and the muffler cooling down. He said they can replace the metal but the noise will ALWAYS be there. I am sorry but I did not just purchase a new car for this to just be something I have to live with...it was NEVER advertised as this.... I expect it from a car I paid $2,000 for but not $15,000.
