Sliding side doors will not close and lock, will open when driving down the road, at red light, night times lights dim and alarm goes off, nothing lights up on dash, drains batt- in shop 4 or 5 X"S when talked to Corp. Office about the danger of grandkids in back, stated due to living in Florida, being wet, there is nothing they can due. So until someone gets hurt or dies, it is more or less oh well... by the way still under warr. Dealer stated the same thing... yes I have all paperwork to this, put in shop not even one week after bought with smoking under hood.

Purchased a 2007 Buick Terraza in 2008 with 10000 miles on it. One owner. Now I know why. I am on a first name basis with the service department that tries to fix my problems. The power sliding doors are unsafe and a nightmare. Have stood in pooring rain, freezing temps, and snow trying to get a door to close. Has been in the shop at least a dozen times which isn't much fun with 4 kids and 4 carseats.have been stuck along highways and interstates with a door that wont close.not safe!!!!!! I am also on my 3rd or 4th radio in this van. Everytime it goes out the dvd player wont work so I have to take it back again to have this fixed.time is way past due for a recall on these vehicles. If anyone knows anyone looking for a slightly used vehicle I have a 2007 Terraza for sale...lol.

Rear sliding doors will not remain closed, then open while driving and continue to alarm when closed. I've taken it in for repairs three times on both doors, yet, now that my warranty is no longer in effect, I must pay out of pocket for an issue that is an obvious safety issue GM is ignoring. My grandson's car seat sits by those doors, thank god he hasn't fallen out!!! I've googled and have seen hundreds of the same complaints ignored. Why is it somebody has to die before this problem is addressed?! there are several incident dates!!!

Purchased 2007 Buick Terraza, both sliding doors have had ongoing issues. The vehicle has been in for repair multiple times per door, at one point I was told by the repair technician, as I handed him pieces of the door mounting, that it is a good thing I didn't open it one more time as the door likely would have fallen off! I have returned to my vehicle numerous times to find one of the sliding door mysteriously open. Due to ongoing nightmare of the doors opening I am careful to confirm the doors are closed and locked prior to leaving my vehicle, however they slide open on there own for no reason. The doors open mysteriously when the car is being driven, alarms ring signally doors are ajar when they are not, and/or fail to close with no confirmed obstruction. Once I am able to "close the door" and drive away the odds are 50/50 that the next bump I hit in the road that door will open. Leaving the choice to pull over in an unsafe location to correct or continue to a safe location and pray my child in the middle seat is safe.

The contact owns a 2007 Buick Terraza. The contact stated that the vehicle's automatic sliding doors have been repaired seven times. The doors open erratically and will open when the vehicle is locked. They will also come open while she is driving. The dealer has replaced motors, sensors and other items and the failure is still present. This failure is present on the driver's side and passenger's side. The contact drives her grand children in the vehicle and is concerned about the doors opening when the children are in the vehicle. The owner wants GM to buy the vehicle back, but they will not. They offered to extend the warranty on the doors but the contact stated the warranty is no good if the doors do not work. The failure mileage was 8,800. The current mileage was 30,000.

I am having problems with the sliding doors, the passenger side sliding door would not close. After about and hour, got the door closed and now the door alarm stays on. Have an appointment to get it looked at. After reading all the other complaints about these doors, I think they should have a recall to fix the problem.

We have a 2007 Buick Terraza cx with 11,000 miles, which was our worst mistake. It was a program vehicle. We have continually had problems with the automatic door malfunctioning. It has been taken apart and everything replaced and still it does not want to shut. The service traction light comes on along with the pump at a time when it wants to. Usually when the dealer is closed. Then it goes off without throwing any codes. The engine is riding rough but the computer shows nothing. The gas mileage is really down. We have been in contact with BBB autoline and Illinois attorney general. There is a serious problem with this door. It is a matter of time before it decides to open while I am driving with my children. I have had it into the dealer probably over 30 times or more. The records show just when something was replaced but not when the dealer tried to fix it knowing they would not get paid. I have done my own investigation and found this has been a continual problem since 2005 in Buick and Chevrolet and others with this door. There is a major problem that needs to be addressed. Their (GM) fix is the sensors but I have had them replaced and still it does not work right. I just want GM to take it back and try to find the major problem to be able to fix all the others with this problem. This is probably falling on deaf ears like everything else we've tried to do. We live on one income while homeschooling 3 kids and taking care of a mother-in-law with alzheimers. I need a safe dependable vehicle and this one is not. Please help us.
