The rear hatch does not stay open. It is a big danger to kids, adults, etc. We can not use the rear of the vehicle at all because we are worried about it crashing down on someone - you need someone to hold it open while the other loads or unload items (eg groceries) in or out of it. Very dangerous.

The consumer was driving on the freeway at highway speed, when the vehicle was hit buy another vehicle on the passenger side rear quarter panel. The rear liftgate latch tore from the fiber glass liftgate. The liftgate opened and an 8 year old occupant was ejected from the vehicle. Build date May 2003 attorney for client.
