Recently I was setting a destination in the nav when the Bluetooth connected phone rang and interrupted the process. I answered the phone as usual using the hands free capability of the Infotainment system.

When I complete the call the Nav system said that the NAV chip was unreadable. WTF. I was just using it. I turned off every thing and waited a few minutes turned the car back on but the nav said the same thing, Pulled out the map card and reset it. That did not help.

So I used the Map on my phone to get to my destination

After leaving the car in a parking lot for several hrs whilst I did my errand when I cam back to the car the Nav worked just fine.. Just was not there when I wanted it. Seems you need to turn everything off walk away from the car and allow everything to power down (excess of 10 mins) to allow everything to reset.

I think the infotainment system is powered by a commodore 64 processor

This is another example of the crappy infotainment system in this vehicle. It is mostly unreliable and a waste of time effort and Money
