This is ridiculous, 10 years after this car was built, the defective headlight seal lets water fill up inside. Because this headlight has its H.I.D. ballast mounted to the underside of the assembly, the water runs down into the ballast killing it. There are many of these cars with this manufacturing defect out there, and it is dangerous to have a headlight randomly just go out while driving at night, and even more ridiculous that there is no easy aftermarket alternative to replace it with, so people like myself are being forced to pay upwards of $1506 to replace this housing with a ridiculously overpriced assembly that should have been recalled to begin with.
Shame on GM for ignoring all the complaints, and not issuing a recall. I work hard for my money and I can not afford this extremely expensive fix, but had no choice. The aftermarket and ebay lights require wiring to be modified to work correctly with this vehicle.
