The complaint from China was reported by a consumer in Beijing who bought a Regal manufactured by Buick Company. The Regal car was bought on 18-OCT-2012 from a 4S shop in Beijing. My husband was an experienced driver. The batch No. on the engine was LTD*122651221*. The car identified Number was LSGGA53Y4CH250913. At the time of this traffic accident, the car odometer showed 4020 km. On 05-JUL-2013, my husband and I experienced a dangerous traffic accident which may be caused by lack of efficacy of the brake system.
The following was event details: On 05-JUL-2013, my husband drove this car at the speed of 50-60km/h on a flat road. I was on the co-driver seat. Both of us fastened the safety-belts. Suddenly the car before our car (manufacture company: toyota) braked, and at the same time the distance between these two cars was about 70-80m. My husband braked immediately, however, the brake failed. Our car went directly into the toyota car and was severely damaged. The airbags came out and heave smoke raised from the forepart of the car. The forepart of the car was severely damaged. The left front door could not be opened. We tried our best to escaped form the car and called the police.
My husband said he tried to do the emergency brake, however, the brake system did not work. We suspected the brake system failed and the ABS system also did not work, and they caused this traffic accident.
The car was dragged to repair shop on the same day (05-JUL-2013). The repairer said it would take at least 2 weeks to repair it. We insist on return purchase and relevant compensation.
