We bought this 2011 Buick Regal Turbo from Dave Arbogast (Buick dealer in Troy, Ohio). This is and has been a wonderful car with the exception of a few issues. The biggest issue is the headlights. This car has the Xenon HID headlights. In 2015 we noticed moisture inside one headlight assembly. The dealer said it would evaporate while driving, and the first couple of times that was true. Later, while driving in the rain, the assembly began filling with water. Shortly thereafter the headlight went out. I replaced the lamp and ballast (very expensive). When the ballast was removed, water poured out of the assembly. There were no signs of cracking in the lens or bucket.
A few months later it happened again. This time the circuit board inside the assembly shorted out as well and about a cup of water came out. Soon thereafter the other headlight assembly failed in the same way. Long story short, I have replaced 5 ballasts and two bulbs. I tried to buy the assemblies from GM, but was told they are no longer available and that I'd need to find them in wrecking yards! I scoured the Internet and eventually found two NOS units. Don't ask what I paid for that! Feeling very frustrated, I filed a complaint with NHTSA but have yet to be contacted by them. I love GM, Buick and this car, but I feel they should stand good for this. No consumer should be subjected to this kind of hell.
