The car lost power on freeway, towed, repaired=alternator and intake manifold gasket and plenum replaced ($812.80). Two days later, the car lost power on freeway, towed, repaired=burnt wire and relay leading to fuel pump replaced, no charge for repair. Two days later, the car lost power on freeway, towed, spun crankshaft bearing. This car has 74,976.1 original miles.

Fuel pump burned. Dealer replaced fuel pump. Fuel pump located in gas tank got hot enough to melt the insulation on the wiring, melt some of plastic body of fuel pump.
