I had just bought the car the day before and I was pulling into a parking place at work and looked down and the oil gauge had gone completely off the charts, the light came on and the car died. I turned the ignition back on and the car started back up. Ever since that incident the oil gauge will read normal for a few days then hit goes haywire again. I wrote it off at first until I began having issues with other components in the instrument panel.
When I did finally have it in a repair shop on a different issue, I asked them to take a look at it. It turns out that the instrument cluster needs to be replaced. The manager of the shop called to notify the dealership where I purchased the vehicle(Auto Now, Belton, MO) and the manager of the dealership and the same guy that sold me the car said he would have to check and see if it was covered under my still remaining warranty and he would get back with the shop after he checks.
He never called the shop back, it took me calling the shop to find out what was going on with my vehicle and they had to call the dealership back to get the answer that its not going to be covered under my warranty. This is just the start of what looks to be a very ugly battle between myself, the dealership, and ultimately the manufacturer. I won't stop til somebody takes responsibility for this major issue this car undoubtedly has, and has had for awhile now.
