Upon the vehicle sitting horn sounds off automatically. It sometimes does it intermittently. Took vehicle to the dealer, and was told that it was being caused by the air bag.

My horn would go off when I would turn a corner or even when unattended. I have a extend warranty which says it covers the horns. When I took it in to be fixed, they said that the part that was bad was in with the air bag and was not covered under the warranty. Now they say that it is the air bag that is bad, so it will cost me $1000 to get it fixed. Since my horn does not work, according to the warenty the horn should be fixed no mater what. Isn't the horn and the air bags considered a safety item?

The horn started sounding all by itself. I stopped it by tapping the steering column. After tapping the horn intermittantly for six miles, the dealer disconnected the right horns as an interim measure, a few days later the left horns were going off at will (stereo horns, guess that's why the Park Avenue is more expensive). I used a fingernail file to disconnect the clips on the left horns, they were harder to reach. After making an appointment to have the problem resolved I was informed it was going to be $700 for parts and aprox $100 for labor. The horn assembly tied to airbags"was sensitive" I was told. For that amount I could send the car to a psychiatrist and still come out ahead. Should something as important as horns and airbags be tied together at a replacement cost of $800 plus" am I the only one with a psychotic horn"

The horn would go off by itself, so it had to be disconnected. Now vehicle has no horn. Dealer says needs whole new airbag system in order to fix horn.

Shrinkage of horn pad material caused horn to activate on its own and eventually not work at all. Entire horn/airbag assembly had to be replaced, as they are located together.
