Well I was reading about the regulators going out on the buicks, and I am about to replace mine again. The shop I took it to, to replace the first one broke clips which I just discovered since I am doing it myself this time. After I took the panels off and tried to see what is happening with the window, found even though the after market regulator I had installed was not working correctly, I was pulling the window out of the clamps and twisting the window as it went up. What I discovered is the reason why most regulators are going out is, after time the front rail of the window track wears out and the window jams which makes the regulator push to hard and a few things happen then. The cable gives out and unspools or the window pulls out from clamps and or the regulator burns up. I think if the track was readjusted for a smoother operation most of the window issues would stop.
